On the 2026 Nobel Prize in Physics
The second seminar in the PERG@METU Seminar Series, jointly organized by the Physics Education Research Group and the Department of Physics at Middle East Technical University (METU), will feature Assistant Professor Doğa Veske from the METU Department of Physics.
Dr. Veske is a researcher with the international IceCube Collaboration, of which METU is a member. He will give a firsthand account of the research recognized by the 2026 Nobel Prize in Physics. The seminar will discuss how neutrinos are detected at the South Pole, what these observations reveal about the universe, and why they matter.
